Whenever I let myself down by not doing something I want to do, I do an extensive post-mortem on what happened.
I describe to myself, and to G, in cinematic detail, every mistake and character flaw that contributed to my mess-up.
But then when I do something really hard, and persist, and prevail and eventually succeed, it’s always, “Aw, shucks, it was nothing!”
Do you do that, too? It’s wrong, don’t you think? If we are so ready to own our failures, we should be equally ready to acknowledge our accomplishments.
I was thinking about this while I was walking today and shot this little video of myself congratulating myself.
So, dear readers, here’s what I want to know: What have you not given yourself enough credit for recently? Crow about yourself in the comments! I really think this is important.
(And if you want to, go check out my redesigned website at www.yogamansfield.com )
YES you are SO RIGHT!!!! Crowing, And hoping you are crowing too!
