The 48 Laws of Power

The 48 Laws of Power

I got up and walked the dogs, came home, and made a collagen smoothie with flax seeds and chia seeds.

Wrote 2K words in Scrivener hoping to hit upon something, anything to post here today.

But came up with nothing.

Started reading The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene.

Law 1 is: Never Outshine the Master

Law 2 is: Never Put Too Much Trust In Friends, Learn to Use Enemies.

Law 3 is: Conceal Your Intentions

Man, how cut-throat and cynical all these rules are. How manipulative.

It’s not that they’re wrong, it’s just that I keep thinking, “Geez, is this the game everyone is playing? No wonder I hate the world. No wonder I hate gamesmanship.”

It’s not that Greene is wrong about any of this stuff it’s just that I wish he was wrong.

I took a sauna, then a shower then got ready and went and taught Power Yoga.

Unlike The 48 Laws of Power, Power Yoga is empowering. There is no power over anything or anyone, but rather the act of mustering energy and moving it through the physical organism in powerful ways: breathing, reaching, balancing.

I love that class. All my favorite people come and I always leave it levitating.

I love being in a room full of powerful yogis.
