We knew it.
We knew it back in January that when May rolled around, we’d need to get out, get away, and recalibrate our lives.
G’s season would be over, spring would be late, and we’d be sick to death of Mansfield, and our routine.. If we didn’t physically move our molecules out of town, we knew we’d be really, really grumpy.
So here we are for this pre-season week at the beach,, sitting in a condo on the eighth floor, looking out over the ocean, feeling much, much, better. We talk a lot, and read a lot. We’re both meditating again. G rides a bike every morning. I write. In the evening we get dressed up and go out to dinner. I went to that crazy hot yoga class this morning. (I was a little nervous because it’s hot and hard and I didn’t know if I could still hang with those youngsters, but I more than hung.)
I got a pedicure. Then we went to a Sound Bath before dinner.
The whole week has been lovely, needed, and restorative. I’m thinking we should do this a at the beginning of each new season, Not necessarily a week, but some time away.
So here, in lieu of of a chatty post, is a picture laden one. Here’s what we’ve been doing.
