Trying to get this appointment took a village. It took getting up at 5 AM to check sites where vaccines might be available. For weeks G tried. But, nothing.
Then someone posted a link on Facebook and she followed it and, bam! It worked! I was so happy! Ebullient, even.
I drove down to Williamsport on Wednesday expecting, I don’t know, lines? After all the hand-wringing scarcity, would there be people waiting, hoping against hope for unclaimed extra shots if those who got appointments failed to show?
The parking lot was practically empty. The store itself, the same way. I got there early and sat in the car and talked into my camera (as one does) to record the event.
